Well of course. I mean Pads were
originally bandages that army nurses thought, "wow we can use these". LoL

I
carry a few sanitary pads in my emergency box - it comes in handy in
that it has a self-adhesive strip that will cling to a bandage or other
covering and it also doesn't have "fluff" like cotton wool that can infect
a wound.
I once heard that soldiers carry tampons to shove into a
bullet wound.
A bit of useless information which you may or may not
want to use.

Tampons are also good for packing
nosebleeds.
