Re: [RC] Mustangs and endurance - Laney Humphrey
A bit more info on "mustangs." There are now about 12 registries
for "mustangs" - some register horses originally gathered in a specific
place, some register horses based on color or physical type. Any
horse gathered by the BLM is acknowledged to be of unknown parentage; horses
recognized by the Spanish Mustang Registry, for example, have been bloodtyped
and carry markers that show their descent from the horses of the conquistadors.
Both groups include a variety of body types and there should be wonderful
endurance horses among both blm and "spanish" mustang groups.

I wanted to report a little on our venture to bring the mustang in
greater number to the endurance venue.
