I made panels for my abetta saddle that was too wide and sat too low on one of my horses. I took a closed cell foam pad made for english riding (the rectangle one with little holes down the spine you use between the saddla and the pad to cushion the horses back and as a shock absorber. And I cut it and applied industrial strenth velcro to the bottom of the saddle and the panels. It seems to work like the Skito pads. I matched it i n the position so the saddle sits "right". Seems to work. And I had the extra ones sitting around. I think they run 20-30$. Laurie and Rascal

Subject: [RC] making pad inserts
Just curious, & I know y'all will know, where can a guy lay his hands on
some of the foam padding like the skito inserts are made from? I'd like to
make some inserts for my OF booties & if there is a source or type of place
one might go.......I'd be grateful for the inside info. Many thanks!
Jon
