While riding, I use GU. It lifts my energy level very quickly. At the
typical 1-hour stop, I eat whatever my stomach tells me it can handle, but
one favorite is fruit-flavored yogurt. It is easily digestible. Fruit is
also good. I eat things such as GU on rides when I would never touch it
under ordinary circumstances. Same with electrolyte drinks. When the body
is stressed, I find it tells me what I should be eating and drinking.
