Wait a minute-I'm a little confused. Windpuffs, once gotten do not ever go
away. They may worsen after you ride, but they do not come and go. Please
vets, correct me if I am wrong. Can someone clarify that? I read up because
my mare got one during a very deep and sandy ride. It has stayed the same,
the mare is never lame and it causes no pain.
Maybe she is just stocking up? I was pretty heartbroken to see that
windpuff, BTW. Doesn't seem to bother the horse.
It does sound as if your mare may have other issues as well. Good
luck-Tiffany
