[RC] truck transmissions - jufa marie
With the recent comments on using overdrive hauling I have
to comment here. I am reading lots of great things about
the Chevy Allison tyranny here (duramax diesel). We
unfortunately got a lemon....any one else out there had
these problems? It will shift thru 3rd then go no
further...just kinda roars while the rpms go up into the
red area. It refuses to go into reverse..just sits there.
It does these wonderful things hauling our 3 horse slant
trailer or empty, it is not partial. It will do it for a
few days then shift fine for a day or so. This is a new
truck...has 13,000 miles on it now but has done it since
the first 1,000 miles. Chevys answer so far has been to
shut it off pull the key, wait for 30 seconds then
restart....that resets it...that solution came after
spending five days at a chevy dealers in Flagstaff while we
were on vacation out there. It is now back at the dealers
where we purchased it and hopefully all will be made well.
