Re: [RC] Whorls - Kristene Smuts
When I purchased Ibn, I noticed that he had two vertical whirls between the eyes, but I hadn't read the book by Linda at that stage. We did have several issues and in-depth "discussions" which we sorted out eventually. I then purchased Linda's book, read about her studies and I still can't confirm whether the issues me and Ibn had were as a result of the whirls or of his past. Incidentally, at purchase time I also wasn't aware that his grandpappie was temperamentally challenged which he apparently passed on to his offspring ... only found out later that Ibn was supposed to have been a kicker and biter!
BTW, Linda's book also details things like nostrils, eyes, mouth shapes, length of head etc. but not any other body swirls. A friend of mine is riding a mare that has swirls all over her body - down her legs, all over her neck and chest, even in her ears - and she is the most complicated horse I had ever come across.
If any of you want more info, I'll bring the book in to work as I can never remember what is good and what isn't.
Smiles
Kristene
