[RC] Slant load and folding tack - Dolores Arste
I have a fixed tack in the rear of my 2 horse slant load. Normally, I only
carry one horse. Recently, thought, I've been putting horses into the rear
stall. On two occasions, the horses tried to turn around and almost got
stuck before I could tie them. The butt bar was up and they did get around.
Has anyone else experienced this? I am in the process of ordering a new
trailer with dropdown windows on both sides and am stuck on whether to get a
fixed tack or a folding tack.
The folding tack has the advantage of giving you more room when collapsed
and fully loaded with horses. But, urine and "stuff" can flow in there which
seems tacky. But, the fixed tack does not give you any slack if you get into
trouble like with a horse turning around. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
