[RC] Black Hills Ride - Bill and Jan Stevens
Just wanted to let everyone know that if they didn't make it to the
Black Hills ride out of Edgemont, SD, they missed a really great ride.
Had such a nice time at the Black Hills ride put on by Paschal and Deb
Karl. They always have such a nice show...wonderfully marked trails,
beautiful scenery, good people, and of course that dessert bar at the
awards is FANTASTIC!
Our daughters, Heather and Jennifer, and I rode in the 50 on Saturday.
Had such a nice time, horses went well, finished in good time...Husband
Bill tempted us all day with the BBQ that he was cooking-so hard to come
into a vet check, smell the smoked ribs, and not taste. He gave us a
couple bites just to keep us going.
Packed up Sunday to head home with Valerie Kanavy and Jennifer Alexander
in tow.
Ended up gathering cows and branding calves Monday and Tuesday. Valerie
and Jennifer are thinking of becoming cowboys now. Now we're onto trail
work and paperwork for our ride next weekend.
