RE: Solar Power for Camping
When you say "needed" you probably mean some luxury item that needs
electrical power that I don't have anyway since I sleep in the
hack seat of my truck at rides!!! (I'm short enough) But then again,
I didn't do Death Valley Encounter because I didn't have a cushy
LQ to spend my nights for a winter multi-day.
Here's my favorite alternative energy site: Went glitzy retail a few
years back, but if you dig through the gizmos there are some real
interesting products like photovoltaic panels, inverters, propane
refrigerators, wind turbines, etc.

I also don't care for the noise of generators at Endurance Rides. In
some areas there may be situations where a generator is needed.
However, suggest you might look at alternatives such as solar power.
This is a good web site to visit if you are interested. They explain
solar concepts and provide good info on this technology.
