Re: RE: RE: RESPECT FOR HOUSEWIVES (WAS SLEIGH RALLY ACCIDENT)

I'll make this endurance related by saying, it takes a HUGE amount of mental
endurance to patiently deal with many of my husbands "traits"! Several years
ago we had just been delivered a brand spanking new McDon swather(A GIANT
hay cutting machine)..enclosed cab, airconditioning,stereo.. whole works.
Soon after, I recieved a hysterical call from my husband on the radio to
bring a set of jumper cables out to one of the river hay fields. When I got
down there, Jim told me to head back to the house, call the McDon rep and
tell him to come and get "this piece of junk." He couldn't get it to start.
Turn the key and nothing would happen. He'd practically taken it apart and
put it back together again and it still wouldn't start. AS he was trying one
last thing, I climbed up into the cab. There, next to the seat was the
instruction manual, still in its sealed plastic wrap. On the very first
page were the instructions on how to start it...(done, by the way, with
stick figure drawings and wording similar to Dick and Jane literature.)
"TURN STEERING WHEEL ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO
START"(some kind of saftey deal) ...Trying not to act to smug I handed him
the book and went smuggly on my way!
By the way Howard...I can operate tractors, dozers, backhoes, swathers etc.
CAN YOU?????????????????
