You betcha.  Have had several good ones up here in the NW.  Hardy Hunter is one that comes to mind, and I know there have been several others here that were pretty consistent running right up front.  And 1975 National Champion Misfit was an Arab/Standardbred cross that went on to produce several good endurance horses, most of which ended up in Lew and Hanne Hollander's string...
