Re: Re: Barefoot
Karen,
You got me there - I wasn't at either ride. She had someone else who
was at the Sunland ride corroborate her version of the Sunland 50,
and the pictures she provided of her horse's hooves (post ride)
looked good. She also wrote me of similar success at the last ride
(I forgot which one it was), and I had no reason to doubt her. I'll
check into this and dig for the information on her horse at that
ride, and I do greatly appreciate the "heads-up" about how you felt
she and her horse finished. I don't want to wrongly advocate
ANYONE's mistakes, as only facts matter to me - hey, I'm a Science
Girl at heart! Numbers, facts, tangible evidence - that's all I (or
anyone) can work with. If she indeed finish the Sunland 50 barefoot
and without any problems, let's at least recognize that (I haven't
heard anything to contrary on that one). After all, that was a
toughie by seemingly everyone's input who was there. If she
attempted the next ride without giving enough time for her horse to
recouperate, then I'm sure that was a good lesson for her or anyone
tracking this to learn. Live and learn, and live and learn some
more. Let's try to keep the sarcasm down (HELLO?!?!), as I was not
disrespectful in tone or spirit to anyone when I replied, and keep
into consideration the spirit of the debate that I'm trying to
maintain.
Thanks again,
