Hay

Hi folks, just moved to the midwest and am trying to
get my winter hay in.  Farmers keep telling me  that
"Brome" (sp) hay is what I want to feed.  I've never
fed this before but when I see it and smell it I am
not to impressed.  Anyone familiar with this type of
hay?
