Vosal Question

We are trying to think of something to ride our mare in that might repace
her mechanical hackamore.  When she gets really wound up at the start of a
ride, she will grab the shank with her mouth and takes off.  We were
looking in the Sporttack cataloge and saw the Vosal. Does anyone know if
the Vosal has the same control as a mechanical hack? I see that it fits
more like a traditional bosal. Any advice or ideas will be greatly
