Re: Mileage Patches
Title: Mileage Patches
Kathy,
I usually always have a picture taken at a ride, either by the
professional hired my ride management or a family member/friend. When I
receive the patch that corresponds with the ride that the picture was taken at,
I frame the picture with the patch in a corner of the picture (not obstructing
the photo) so I will always remember at what ride and which horse I made that
mileage. I use "box" frames and have an entire wall in my den covered with
endurance pictures, from small 3 x 5's to of course, my first Cougar Rock
picture, an 11 x 14. Each one is special in their own way and I never get
tired looking at them (just hate dusting them!!). Your horse will also
receive equine mileage certificates. You can either frame those as above
or put them in your photo album or scrapbook in a plastic sleeve.

Okay, folks, got my first mileage patch. All
of you high mileage riders out there, what the heck do you do with them?
I like the recognition and the sense of accomplishment it gives me, but would
really like to know what people REALLY do with the patches. It reminds
me of when I was a Brownie and had those merit badges.
