Garmins are very good there is no difference between the $120 model e-trex
and the $160 model Summit except a single button. I have used several
different ones, some of which are way to expensive for the average user. I
prefer the GPS12 on the website for the average user. When you look at the
website click on the outdoor button to see the GPS units. One VERY
important thing to remember after you do buy one. MAP DATUM That changes
depending on where in the world you go. so you need to look it up and
change it in the GPS unit. You can find the map datum at the bottom of the
topo map for the area.
