I’m not sure how the biathlon will be running the day after the Ride and Tie Championships in California. but it sounds similar. But this is not a sanctioned anything ride – just put on for “fun for crew and family” something like that. I am personally structuring my competition schedule to fit the Ride and Tie Championship’s margarita party afterwards!

Since I have started running as a way to get fit, I have been wondering if
any one besides me would be interested in doing a duathlon with their
horse? I can envision it like this: Following an endurance ride, say on
sunday morning,
the "rider/runner" takes off on foot and runs a 10- 15 mile course, it
would end back in camp, then you saddle you horse and do another 10- 15
miles. One person, one horse. Vet checks like an endurance ride. Finish
criteria as in a 25 mile race, time doesnt stop till pulse is down. So
what do you guys think???? Anyone at all interested??? Just a
thought.....
