Check out the stroy about Arabian horses in the latest issue.
They paint a very nice picture of Endurance Riding, Smithsonian is usually
full of art and other stuff.  The story is about Drinkers of the Wind.
One of the pics shows a vet at the a ride. It looks like Jamie Kerr?
Another rider is also shown
her name is Diane Dupperon?  I am taking this from the story"The defining
event for the Arabians is the endurance ride; "The motto of endurance
riding says that "to finish is to win"  What great "PR" for our sport.  It
gos on to say that mere finishing isn't enough;  horses have to cross the
finish line in a state
