I really could care less who wins this battle. Since endurance is not an
olympic
sport, it really is a mute point. But while the AHSA reaches down to the
lowest
level shows, it does so it can expand its revenue from a broader base.
Captalism
is a wonderful thing. It has made the US the greatest country on earth.
But it
has to be recognized for what it is and not be embellished in what it is
not. A
profit corporation is there to make money. Exxon is not there to make
gas, it's
there to make money. It just so happens that is how it makes its money.
The AHSA
is not there to make horsemen, it's there to make money and to turn a
dividend
to its stockholders.

We are talking about the organization that is responsible in selecting
and
managing our FEI teams. If as you say the USET is there to take the
cream of the
crop and produce a winner, then they should be in charge. At this level
that is
what it is all about.
