We were both using skito pads, mine was the regular 3/4 " thick and my hubby 
had the 1".  We weigh in at 155 and 185 respectively.  I should point out 
that we ride Icelandics and so rarely post.

probably help you and in Can $ too!  Click on the Icelandic tack link to see 
my little Icey in her electric blue and pink biothane :-)))
