No, Randy, that point is NOT being missed.  What IS being missed is that AERC passed up a great opportunity to have yet an additional sponsor at that very event.  Yes, thank heavens for Larry and Jerry who jumped into the breach--so riders WILL have the opportunity to cross-enter in an FEI division, which could add prestige and interest to the National Championship.  But that is NO reason to have turned down a willing sponsor--and so far no one has identified any strings attached from that sponsor, either.  With all the emphasis of late on getting sponsorships, the turndown is still rude and foolish, IMO.
