Karole, go for it.  I bought my mare, unregistered arab, out of a cow
pasture for $600.  She is the best horse I have ever owned.  I could care
less if she has papers or not.  She boogies down trail, is a joy to ride, is
all heart, does both competitive and endurance, and has almost 4000 miles to
her credit.  If you like the horse, if it looks like a good prospect, go for
it.  Jeanie
