Before anybody does decide to do the nasal strangles vaccine, please talk 
to more than one vet about the high number of adverse reactions to this 
vaccine.  I have talked to several vets, including ride vets, who won't 
give this vaccine.   If your horse has a reaction to this vaccine, trust me 
-- you'll wish he had only gotten strangles.  Horses have died from this 
vaccine, and others have had some very bad reactions.  It took one of my 
horses 8 months to get over it, and he'd been going to rides for 6 years 
and NEVER been sick a single day in all that time (lots of rides 
too).  Just thought some of you might like to know, so you can ask 
questions and make your own decisions on what risks you are willing to take 
with your own horses.

btw, the reaction happened the third time he received the intranasal 
strangles vaccine.  First two times were normal.  :+/
