There was an article in Thoroughbred Times this morning about this very issue.
The US has put a ban on all imports of all livestock and all meat from the EU.
Australia has expanded it's band to include all the EU.  One German offical
was quoted that if a horse is taken from Germany to the UK don't expect to get
it back into Germany anytime soon.

Yep, It may eventually cause a problem.
