Re: RC: Re: Saddle Search
Hi Kimberly,
I recently got a new Sharon Saare saddle. So far, I love it! I haven't gotten
a chance to ride in it much due to almost non-stop rain, but the time I have
managed to spend in it has been great, although it will be a few months before
it is broken in - and then it will be even better!
I did have a slight problem with some leftover fiberglass dust from the tree
that had gotten into the fleece of the saddle, probably when they packed it up
for shipping. I cleaned that stuff off, and have had no further problems.
The quality of Sharon's saddles is excellent. The leather is top quality (I'm
in the leather business so am knowlegeable about that stuff), the hardware is
solid brass, the whole saddle is just great. Put together really well, and
well, it just seems to ooze quality. :0)
I too, have a very wide, flat-backed horse. She is also built slightly
downhill. She was bare-tree fitted for a size CC tree. It fits her like a
glove. It's the first saddle that has ever fit her right, without pinching her
shoulders or bridging, etc. I've been through four saddles prior, plus the
ones my trainer had tried on her during a 7-month period. None of them he
tried were just right.
Feel free to email if you would like any more info.
Take care and good luck in your search.
