Re: The New Wintecs
I have a wintec 500 AP all leather saddle ( bare the knee pads which are
equisude)
pros
very light weight - so good for my dicky backed horse
The gullet can be really easily changed and are very cheap. Mine took about
20 mintues to change should be quicker with practice. My saddle is now
extra wide and fits like a dream.
The wool flocking settles to the horses and beds down to fit your horses
back quickly.
Very comfy seat for the rider and sits the rider in a good postion.
easy to clean just hose down or use washing liquid if feeling extravegant!
Cheap fopr a well amde and designed product.
Cons
equileather can be a little slippy when new and wet. Mines fine now and
using a sheepskin seat saver helps.
Can heat the back unless a sheepskin or cotton numnah is used.
equisuede gives you a soggy bumb when wet!
You might get the occassional snooty commnet using a synthetic.
All in all I like my little saddle, a vast improvement on my ( now sold on
Hurrah) sports saddle which cost 4 x as much and was not much cop for me. Id
say if it fits try one Im looking fiorward to a seasons rides on mine.
