Which are the variables you factor to come up with a working heart

             Weight of horse?

              Weight of rider?
               or what...
Or are those individual factors not "remarkable" in their disparate
affect on a "well-conditioned and fit horse"?

None of those--not that they don't matter, just have not data run on those
factors. We can do VO2 max and we do efficiency scores--equivalent to VO2
max, but taken at slower rates. We look for horses that tend to run with low
revs and we really don't know what to do yet with those that run at high
revs--I think some of those may do just fine, but don't know yet. So, the low
rev horses, we want to move up into the 140s, sustained. That will make a
dramatic difference in performandce--if we can do itsafely.
