Southerners and Snow

Some one recently posted that Southerners can't take the cold weather and
they had to Brag about the fridgid climate they live in, walking to the barn
in 46 feet of snow up hill both ways to shovel a place out for the horse to
poop etc. Basically saying Southerners can't handle bad cold climates.
Okay... I will be the first to admit. You are 100% correct. We don't care
for it to much. Hell we really can't drive in it for some reason. We rush to
the grocery stores at the first flake. So the heck what..We appreciate our
snow here. Well some do...For me I really don't care for it. I have to deal
with diffacult employees and spoiled horses.(oh well life goes on) When we
have snow it is an extra holiday out here so we flock to the grocery stores
and plan on fixing big pots of Chilli and cook tons of food almost like
Thanksgiving! We also sit around and sleep. That is pretty much what we do
when we have heavy snow or ice storms here. Nope this aint Colorado where
the main transportation is Ski's This ain't Montana where the frozen horse
turds can kill a human..(Sandi meant to tell you to add them things to a
snowball for a killer snowball fight) And this aint other places where the
snow comes in sideways to sneak up your pants leg. This is the south, Where
the snow in Florida is as rare as a unicorn,In Texas it makes you strong, In
Alabama, Mississippi and Lousiana it shuts things down, In Georgia it makes
Atlanta pretty, In Tennessee it makes for the best Snow Cream (watch out for
the yellow snow) And In Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virgina
it just makes you feel So Lucky to live in the south.
So maybe we don't have harsh climate but we sure have life easier!
Carla (awaiting front number four on Wednesday!)
Ansata (IM FREEEEEE IM FREEEEE!!!!!)
Haley (wooooie look a horseangel!)
Rob (Gee they look happy to be out!)
Plus yet another great advantage to watch your horse play when you turn them
out to exercise and they are bucking kicking snorting and blowing!!
