Peggie:
There are no AERC rules concerning how your horse must be
shod to compete. If I recall correctly, the riders
handbook says something about shoeing appropriate for the
terrain you are riding, but that would be a guideline,
not a rule. "No shoes - no entry" would have to be a
particular ride manager's rule.
