oh barbara,

please, please don't ever take the criticism of other rides to heart!  if it
wasn't for you and your family's generosity of providing the rides and use
of your land i'd never be in the crazy sport - or at least trying to get
back in this crazy sport.  years ago i crewed for the big creek ride and tie
and was told there was a 100 mile ride (swanton) through your beautiful
country and run by your family!  well, that did it.  it took selling my
thoroughbred, finding an arab, years of training, but i finally did swanton!
that was after doing castle rock and big creek a few times.  it was such a
thrill.  every one of your rides has been a treat and my new goal with my
new horse is to get back to them at some point.  thank you for all the
wonderful experiences and memories!
