RE: RE: RE: Houdini Horse - Help!
Hey, Bob and Duncan, thanks for correcting me!
My education is in geology and
sometimes the lack of "engineering" shows. I'm used to doing
distribution for 12kV/200 Amps, 480V/3000 Amps, etc. I don't
worry too much about the voltage drops like you would for the
fence charger. I asked my engineer boss, and he said - "it's
the amps that kill you, not the voltage!"
K.

Sorry, but you are mistaken the kv is correct but it is milliamperage
and
discharged from the condensor in millisecond pulses.

"We were down
to
about 3 kv with the old charger and ground rod....
" We know the voltage is up to 6
kv ..."
You'd be frying tonight, babe! Normal "household" current is 120 VOLTS,
and
batteries
are 6 VOLTS. You would have be have a huge unit substation
transformer to
to
convert THAT voltage! (kilovolts)
Kathy - sitting in my office, wishing I didn't have to think volts but
gotta
because
that's my job.
