said it isn't competitive. You are always trying to better your best.
Hopefully you can also better everyone else's, but what the hell does the
Best endurance rider mean anyway? Was Val a worse rider because her horse
got kicked? It's pretty random. The best that day? Nah. I prefer mileage.
That really tells you something.

So, what you need is an international organization of Non-Competitive
Endurance Riding. NCER. In fact, NICER might be the appropriate acronym.
Doubt, though, that that sport will make the Olympics.
