I would agree that a) it is inappropriate for a horse under 60 months to be
ridden in multi-day LD events, and b) adding a 60 month age requirement for
mulit-day LDs is an appropriate solution. I would prefer that option over
restricting the number of consecutive days permissible for LD. I know of at
least a couple of riders who ride mature horses and really enjoy the
multi-day LD rides. It would be a shame to lose this type of activity for
those folks who are already participating on appropriately mature horses.
