RE: looking for horse
I had bred my mare a few years back to a stallion named Shahwan GASB, who
is a bay Egyption stallion bred at the Marbach stud in Germany. At the
time he was the only purebred Arabian to be approved for the ISR and
Trakehner registry as an improvement sire in the U.S. and did well in the
100 day
stallion testing in Germany. The last I heard, Shahwan was still in
Bend, Oregon, and used primarily for warmblood breeding programs, although
the owners are "Arabian" people. Could this be the same horse? E-mail me
if you want the info - I have to dig it out of my pile of stuff. The name
of the ranch is Hannah Mar Arabians, I believe.

Subject: RC: looking for horse
I remember seeing an ad for a horse named Dahman Shawan (think thats how
its
spelled). He is/was a bay egyptian arab stallion, that I think is
approved as
a trakhener. Does the CD show owners names? I'm putting the horse before
the
cart, as I don't even have a mare yet, but he's on my list to check out.
