Fw: National Champ.

Endurance is often a game of perspective...here is another view of the
trails Bobbie did not like, including the more difficult 100 mile
trails...

Randy: Hope you and your crew are resting after doing a fine job with
your
ride. I left so quickly after being pulled I never had a chance to look
at
pictures so would appreciate the address or number of the photographer.

I felt your challenging part of the ride was well placed during the heat
of
the day which may have contributed to no treatments as you had to go slow
which never stressed the horses metabollically. Such rough terrain
actually caused less problems then intermitant rough terrain as you were
always paying attention.

Although I was extremely dissappointed to be pulled at vet #3 when I
really
felt my horse was fit to continue I learned another lesson in endurance
riding which was to go to the vets who knew what condition your horse
started in which Barney told me to do earlier in the day. I almost
turned
around and came back for the 50 but decided I'd better play it safe and
go
home with a sound horse and let her cut heal.

I loved riding in NM and plan to do the NC again. Thanks for everything,

Janet and Teka
