You are correct in terms of rules and regulations. But not in terms of
location or terrain. Yes, it hurts the concept of an AERC championship that
it takes a few years to target something like that, and the system never
stays the same. But the LOCATION consistency is what I was referring
to--Tevis and OD are in the same place, year after year, and you can "target"
going there as a goal three years in the future. That is not the case with
FEI rides--although the location is known at least a year (and preferrably
two) in advance. But each one presents unique circumstances, has a different
"flavor" as per each area and management, and only has the standardization of
FEI rules. And the "rules" don't change for AERC rides--just the structure
of the championship system.
