If there's absolutely no moonlight/stars, I adjust my route to make sure I don't
have to find the opening in the barb wire fence I ride through by feel <g>. As
for holes, well when you ride the same 4-5 routes 3-4 days a week for many
years, you know where the holes are, and where other hazards are. You also
learn exactly which objects transform to hobgoblins or trolls in the dark...

Aren't you worried about accidents? Where I stay, there's just too much
potential for it - very rocky, barbed wire here and there, holes, and the
odd affirmative shopper! I have ridden under floodlights for years, and
that's great, but no way would I venture out. Besides, its f......g cold!
