I'd be afraid to ride a horse that is being fed alfalfa and large amounts 
of grain.  I know there are lots of reasons why horses tie up, but this one 
is just a tie up waiting to happen. (yeah, I know lots of people have 
probably done very well with their horses on this kind of a diet, but that 
doesn't mean that it is what works for *most* horses)
