I would like to get some input regarding joint injections specifaclly
coffin/navicular. My horse supposedly has some "navicular" changes. Now I
don't know what normal is for my horse. He is 13 yr old Arab gelding with
600 LD miles in 3 years, does 1st level Dressage and has very upright
pasterns. The foramens containing blood vessals are sli calcified and the
wings of the navi bone is showing some sli bonly deformations on the bottom
of the bone next to coffin. The vet wants to inject glucosamine/cortisone/
w/silicone. Never heard of this and worry if this is not a little radical.
Have put horse on MSM is still on Flex GL and now isoxiprine. HELP???
