Shredded Rubber

Does anyone have experience with using shredded rubber over arena sand to lessen the dust?  How expensive is it?  How effective at reducing dust while providing good footing?  Are there different sizes and how difficult will cleaning manure out of it be?   Where do you get it?

 

I would probably add it to my arena, but my primary problem is the sand paddocks/runs off each stall.  They're wonderful in the winter. . . no mud ever, anywhere, but summertime it's a dust bowl around the barn.  Trying to keep it watered down sufficiently is a pain in the A** .  Not only is the dust that accumulates on everything around the barn annoying but it's very hard on the horses having to breathe the dust.
