Mt. Laguna???

Does anyone familiar with the trail esp after the 5 minute hold on last loop, 
know the distance difference between the marked trail which went to the LEFT 
and the shortcut which was unmarked and went to the right?  The 50's didn't 
encounter this problem because it was cordened off after an unintentional 
diversion.  But the time difference is significant and I would like to know 
the mile difference.  Donna and BOB
