RE: Class C Motor Homes & Towing
Definitely have the tow package beefed up on a motor home!!! We spent 9
hours on the side of the road in my girlfriends motor home because the
trailer service center said the tow package was fine, but as we were pulling
out of the gas station (fortunately, not while we were on the freeway) the
whole tow package dropped off the motorhome, taking much of the frame with
it. It was ugly.

Hi Gary,
I have a 29 ft. Fleetwood that I tow with. I did have the towing package
beefed up by the dealer. Most dealers will tell you that what is on the RV
is sufficient but that's not true. This particular dealer sells a lot of
RVs
to the NASCAR Teams and knew what I needed. Also he put a sway bar on the
hitch that attaches to the trailer to keep the trailer from jackknifing with
sudden stops. The V-10 is plenty of engine. I live in the Mountains of NC
and I have no problem at all. I pull a two horse Featherlite but my brother
pulls a 3 horse slant Sooner and stays with me just fine. Good luck.
