Yep, they sure did. Arab blood was introduced onto the Iberian Peninsula
during the Moorish invasion of 711, as well as earlier times. Furthermore,
as in TB pedigrees, a great many foundation horses behind the gaited breeds
have specific pedigree references to a great many specific Arabs or
part-Arabs.
