You're right. Boyd talked to me about his screenplay; although it was a
few years ago and I've forgotten the details, I do remember it was
great. He had offers, as I remember but I believe he wanted to produce
and star in it himself. I wish he could get it funded--- he has the
contacts but it seems that film-makers are more into pyrotechnic effects
these days than plot (unless Redford is involved--- he can sell
anything). Perhaps Boyd needs to put in a scene where the coyboy's ranch
is dynamited and the mafia comes after him with oozies and his daughter
gets her clothes ripped off by Antonio Banderos and..... but then I
guess we are into a whole 'nother story...
