Re: info on arabs types
Thanks Anne, Bette, Heidi, Becky, et al
Information on Arab "types" is scattered all over the web. I sense an
opportunity to gather it all in one place....
Does anyone know what happened to Heather from France? What about the
Shagya breeder who popped up on RC? Anybody from Spain? To be completely
representative, I'd like to have info on the French and Spanish breeding
programs and on the Shagya breed. Someone mentioned something about a
Crabbet influence site without providing the URL....
Answering Anne's post directly:
Anne, your statements aren't even true if you're only thinking about what's
in the U.S.!! Not only is there a whole big world out there, the U.S. has
imported from many breeding programs.
I admit I don't "get" what the big deal is about Al Khamsa. I went to their
site and from what I was able to gather, it's just a classification of
horses directly descended from certain desert bred horses. Someone, please
enlighten me.
