>Ride, Bike, Hike to CDO Wash:
>
>Make plans now to join us on Saturday, June 10, 2000, as we ride
>horses, bike, and hike to CDO Wash. We are once again showing
>the Town that we are not going to let our trails and open space
>disappear. We have lost too many of our trails, and too much of
>our open space to development because the City continues to
>ignore the importance of this issue.
>
>Staging areas have been set up at Head to Tail Boarding Stables,
>655 W. Calle Concordia, 544-9666, and Adamcin Quarterhorses,
>9015 N. Camino De Anza, 575-9326. Bicyclist staging area is at
>Dennis Weaver Park on Calle Concordia. Hikers and walkers with
>pets can use either staging area.
>
>Horses will leave staging areas at 8:00a.m. and meet at the corner
>of Calle Concordia and Calle Loma Linda at 8:15a.m. Hikers,
>walkers with pets and bicyclists will follow horses.
>
>We will be traveling West on Calle Concordia to Rancho Verde.
>We will follow Rancho Verde North to La Canada. We will cross La
>Canada and proceed to CDO Wash. A trails issue update will be
>given and press conference will be held.
>
>Trails Inventory:
>We want to make sure that all trails in the Oro Valley General Plan
>are still available for use. We have a map of all trails and we need
>assistance to go out and view the condition of the trail. Anyone
>interested in participating in the trails inventory, please call
>Paige
>at 297-9611, Jan at 825-6777 or e-mail at leforge@gte.net.
>
>
>Contact City officials at 297-2591 to show your support for saving
>our trails! Please indicate when you call how long you have lived in
>this area, and how you use the trails in Oro Valley. Call daily!
>
>We hope that by being proactive we will be able to shed light on
>the trails and open space issue. Please participate in this ride
>with
>a positive outlook and help everyone in Pima County save and
>maintain our trails!
