Well, how bad can stuff get?

Got a call from the spouse of our main trail marker  (June Parsons) for
Longstreet's Charge last night.  It was 8:30, she'd been marking since 9
AM and wasn't back.  She called me at 11 PM, just got in.  Looks like
we've got another "escaped horse fully tacked" emergency.  Seems that
Russel Lankford (my trail marking partner for today) tied his horse to a
branch up on top of the mountain yesterday.  It broke the branch, ran off
fully tacked and hasn't been seen since.  He spent the night down there
last night.  I've got 25 miles of trail to mark today, now I may be alone
doing it, June spent 12 hours in the saddle yesterday and will be back
out there today, but I don't know how much she's got left to do.  It's
going to be the hottest day all week.  Wish me luck.  Prayers gratefully
accepted.
