Orfeo is the belgian champion ...

Hi friends,

Yesterday it was the Belgian Championship on a 100 miles ride.

And we won; Orfeo was at the lead from the first vetgate, passing in 2 or 3 minutes; at the last vetgate, we where 2 riders at the lead, the others half an hour behind; so I let Orfeo gradually increasing his speed, without demanding too much and after galloping for 10 Kms we took 5 minutes, enough to slow donw a little bit to a good canter; I lost a first front shoe at 5 Kms from the finish, but could replace with an easy boot that I carry with me; huge stress for me; then 2 kilimeters after I lost my second front shoe; no easy boot anymore (murphy law ???); I had to choose all soft surfaces to save his foot; for the pleasure I let him finish at a full galop like he likes; he was incredible!

We completed the 160 Kms in 9:45 on a trail with a lot of alphalt and mud!

So happy!  Perfectly clean in his gaits the day after!  Had to share!
