Cheating?

In the long ago past, when we did lots of mounted speed events, and before
electric timers,  there was some "manipulation" of times, especially when
the timer was related to contestants.

My feeling has always been that when they had to cheat to beat you,  we
already knew who had the best horse!!

Think this is still true, whether it is trail cutting, or switching horses,
or hiding a problem from the vets.

Really competent riders don't need to do this, they can take the day as it
comes,  and deal with it, front, middle, tail end, or "try it another day"

If you can clearly see a violation, turn it in.  May not help today, but in
the long run it will.
